Recipe: Simple Green Salad

A light salad of mixed leaves tossed in light olive oil, balsamic vinegar and sprinkled with toasted sesame seeds. Do use the lightest olive oil you can get for this recipe extra virgin has too strong a flavour.


500g mixed salad leaves
2 tbsp light olive oil
1 tbsp balsamic vinegar
1 tbsp toasted sesame seeds

Cooking Method

Serves 2

Rinse salad leaves in cold water and drain well.

Toast sesame seeds in a dry pan until brown.

Mix olive oil and balsamic vinegar together.

Before serving, drizzle salad dressing over leaves and mix well in order to coat the leaves with dressing.

Sprinkle toasted sesame seeds over leaves and mix again.
