Recipe: Oriental Style BBQ Steaks with Mango and Tendersten Broccoli


200g Tenderstem broccoli
1 Mango, sliced thinly
2 beef Steaks
Sesame seeds
Wing Yip crispy onions
1 tbsp Wing Yip Light Soy Sauce
3 tbsp Wing Yip Chinese Mushroom Sauce
1 tbsp Wing Yip Light Soy Sauce
2 tbsp Wing Yip Chinese Oyster Sauce

Cooking Method

Serves 2-4

1. Mix the light soy sauce and oyster sauce together. Then mix the light soy sauce with the mushroom sauce.

2. Place the broccoli on the BBQ or under the grill and then spoon over some of the oyster sauce glaze. Place the lid of the BBQ on and cook for 5-10 minutes turning halfway through.

3. Brush the steaks with a little of the mushroom sauce marinade. Place sauce side down onto the BBQ or under the grill. Glaze the other side of the steak with the remaining sauce. Depending on how you like your steak cooked with depend on how long to leave them for. For medium rare, over a very hot BBQ, these will take approximately 2-3 minutes on each side.

4. Place the mango slices straight onto the BBQ. Remove the steaks from the BBQ or grill and let rest.

5. Once the mango has been grilled and the broccoli is cooked through, serve with the steak.

6. Garnish with a sprinkle of sesame seeds and crispy fried shallots.
