Recipe: Chicken Skewers in Oyster Sauce

Chicken on its own sometimes can be a little lacking in flavour. In this recipe spring onions and oyster sauce gives the chicken a taste of the orient. Use a mixture of breast and thigh meat for these skewers and remember to soak the wooden skewers in water for 20 minutes before using them.


4 chicken thighs or 2 chicken breasts
2 tbsp Wing Yip Oyster Sauce
4 spring onions
wooden skewers

Cooking Method

Serves 2

Cut the chicken into pieces roughly 2cm square.

Take the spring onions and using the thick white part only, cut into pieces 2cm long.

Coat the chicken using half of the Oyster Sauce.

Skewer the chicken inter-spaced with spring onion pieces.

Cook on a barbecue and serve immediately.
