All The Chinese You Need To Know

About the Competition

We want to celebrate the rich vein of young culinary talent in the UK.

Asian and Oriental cuisine is fast becoming one of the most popular in the UK. More and more TV food programmes, including BBC Masterchef, are featuring chefs who are using and experimenting with a raft of authentic Oriental ingredients in their dishes. This competition will showcase the dedication and skilful chefs we have coming through in the UK.

Entrants are required to prepare a recipe provided by Judge Larkin Cen and then an authentic Oriental main course of their choice.

The competition is judged in two stages: a paper-based entry for the first round followed by a competitive cook-off with high profile judges at the University College Birmingham. This year's competition will be held on Wednesday 28th March 2018.

Entries for the 2018 competition are now open and you can download the application pack here.

The winners are announced at an official awards dinner at the University College Birmingham following the competitive cook-off.
